                   WOODCARVERS OF LAS VEGAS

Todays meeting at Woodworkers Emporium brought back an old member and a new member. Liz was back from

her mission to Ghana. She was there for 2 weeks teaching her chip carving talents. Great job Liz!

Also Mike Cook brought his "sunburst face" to share with us. I can not wait to see the finished product.

Barry found us and joined today. He lives on the north side of town, so I am sure we will see him often.

He brought a beautiful "Kingfisher" as a sample of his work. Welcome Barry.

Hope to see you all " At Wood it is "in 2 weeks.

                                              WOODCARVERS OF LAS VEGAS

Another first for our group happened yesterday.  Jamie Yocono, owner of "Wood It Is" generously

offered her studio to us to enable us to double our monthly meetings to two.  Our attendance was

seven members with a few curious visitors from Jamie's woodworking students. We hope more of her

students enjoy woodcarving and will join our group.

As always we like to show what people are working on. Sorry to say  yesterday I did more talking

then taking photos. But here are a couple. Rod's new Indian bust.

Scott Bigler brought his Automaton he just completed.  It is beyond words, so here is a link ( I hope)

to our Woodworkers of Las Vegas Facebook page where Len Black posted it in full motion.

It is a must see!  We hope to see all of you at one of our next meetings.  They will be the 2nd.

Saturday of the month at "Wood It Is" and the 4th Saturday of the month at "Woodworkers

Emporium".
