On March 22nd, 2014 under the leadership of Dennis Patchett and the generous sponsorship of Woodworkers Emporium( 5461 Arville, Las Vegas 89118) who are supplying us with a room to
use we started with our first meeting.
We had a surprising first showing of 8 woodcarvers. We decided to have our meetings every 4th Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m. Dennis gave a demonstration on sharpening and our first class project was passed out . Everyone was given a block of wood to try and carve an egg without the help of any sanding.
