Woodcarvers of Las Vegas

We are a new group of woodcarvers of all skill levels who want to advance our skills and help others.

We are meeting at Wood it is at 2267 w. Gowan, North Las Vegas on the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. .
And at Woodworkers Emporium at 5461 Arville in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m..

Meeting #2

On April 26th we had our second meeting. We welcomed a few new faces and shared out first project the carved egg. Enclosed is a photo of some of the finished eggs. ( and everyone still had all the fingers they started with).

At this months meeting Scott Bigler gave a demonstration on face carving. He supplied us all with a piece of wood to make "study sticks" of a face. He also shared his bag of tools for those of us who didn't bring or have them yet.

    Hey, this is looking pretty good! I liked how you put a map in for Woodworkers Emporium too.
